I hate to get political...but

Not writing related, but let me just say, I am getting fucking sick of partisan politics. I have friends both Democrat and Republican, but they’re constantly demonizing the other side. I find that highly fucktarded. Do people not realize that there is ONE government, and they can control us by dividing us amongst ourselves? Makes us easier to control. I don’t like to get political, because I don’t see the point in “left” and “right” ideas. Peopl...

Come on 2017. Let's do this dance!

Welcome back to the blog, my rabid readers. I have been away too long. Part of my New Years resolution is to write in Yoakum’s Ramblings more. Maybe once a week if I can discipline myself enough.

What has been going on…

First off, Redcap may be made into an indie film sometime in 2018. I have been talking to My Little Rascal Productions. They are looking for stories to turn into low budget indie films. It won’t be chock full of special effects, but the stor...

New books a comin

Wow, sorry.  I didn't realize I haven't posted a blog entry in so long.  I've been busy with my usual crap.

Right now, I am working on The Targothian:  Book V.  It will publish in March.  Every March will be a new installment until I am finished with the series, still planning on 9 books, and a 10th book of short stories with the origins of the side characters.  Book IV is still publishing in December.  I am doing that just because I don't want to push...

Greetings readers. How have you all been? I finally got my copies of Haunting On The Nobility for my upcoming book signing. Again, it is at Half Price Books, 3085 N George Bush Fwy, Garland, TX 75040 on Saturday the 8th of October from 1 to 3 PM. I have to leave pretty promptly after that because I’m officiating a wedding for a coworker at 5 PM. That Saturday should prove most productive.

Currently I am still reworking the relaunch of the Targothian series with the first b...

Seasons greetings, my rabid readers, and my season, I mean Halloween season, although we’re still a bit away from it. It is only August. But, soon, September will be upon us, which means two things: Oktoberfest in Addison, Tx (which they have in September, trust me, I’ve gone to it 4 times) and my book “Haunting On The Nobility” is being published. I am doing the book on the 23rd of September and will start promoting it a lot for the upcoming Halloween month of Oct...

Where have I been?

Greetings my rabid readers. Sorry I haven’t posted in quite a while. Been busy. Got a lot of writing going on.

I’m about to finish the fourth book of the Targothian series, and, once again, look for it in December. My haunted cruise ship story is still ready to publish, but I am just waiting on late September. I want to start promoting it for Halloween.

Speaking of promoting my books, I have unpublished everything except my poetry book from Smashwords. In a few...

Book IV in the works

Posted by Larry Yoakum III on June 7, 2016 at 1:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Greetings.  I have about five chapters complete for The Targothian: Book IV.  Look for it in December of this year.

I am still planning on publishing Haunting on the Nobility in September in hopes of getting it hyped up for Halloween.

Ah, it was great to drive to work this morning.  No school zones!  At least I hope we're done with them for the summer.  I think school is out now.  That means I don't have to deal with chuckleheads slowing down t...

The Targothian: Redo canceled

Posted by Larry Yoakum III on May 28, 2016 at 1:30 AM Comments comments (0)

I have decided to not redo it.  I am continuing with my plan of 9 novellas, 2 a year.  Once it is all done, I might put them into one big collection.  Mayhap so.  Down the road so I'm not worried about it right now.

This is Memorial Day weekend.  Everyone, please remember what the day is about.  To honor those of our service men and women who are no longer with us.  Our freedom is secured by those who wear the uniform and answer their nation's c...

The Targothian: Redo

Posted by Larry Yoakum III on April 20, 2016 at 5:30 PM Comments comments (0)

Hello all. I have some new crap to report.

I am going to unpublish The Targothian: Book I and II. I’ll be revamping the series, and combining books 1, 2, and 3 into one, then the same with 4,5,6 and 7,8,9. Still planning on doing a short story collection of the side characters.

Also, I am going to be doing that sequel of sorts for Redcap. Baba Yaga, a side character from that book, will be in her own called Baba Yaga: Cannibal Witch. A third installment called Daemon Cl...

Great...I'm 41 now

Hello again. Yep, just turned 41.  I am no longer 40, but I am now IN my 40s.  Been working a lot on The Targothian: Book III, and it will for sure be published this June. Or is it July? Either way. And, of course, IV will be in December. OK, onto more interesting things. I made a few sales in my Kindle books. A few copies of Redcap and one of The Targothian: Book I have been purchased. It is always great to introduce new readers to your work, as well as keep on entertaining...
